Call for FRAIB projects 2023

Call 2023 is now open

Two distinct projects can be submitted. The first call concerns projects led by researchers from at least two different laboratories from the FR AIB. The second call concerns young scientists (PhD students, post-docs, engineers on fixed-term contracts).

CALL FOR INTER-LABORATORIES PROJECTS 2023

This call for projects aims to promote the emergence of collaborative projects between units of the FR AIB. Proposed projects must involve at least two laboratories from FR AIB. Selected projects will receive funding of €15,000.

As presented at the 2025 forum*, an additional incentive is being offered this year for interdisciplinary projects between a plant functional biology laboratory (CNRGV, LIPME, LRSV, PPGV) and an ecology laboratory (CRBE, SETE). Inter-unit and interdisciplinary projects will receive funding of €20,000.

Project leaders are encouraged to make use of one or more of the platforms within the FR AIB network: TRI-FRAIB Imaging, ProteoToul, TPMP, AgromiX, SETE platforms, and GeT-PlaGe.

*: The stated objective is to encourage the emergence, by 2026, of interdisciplinary projects eligible for the TIRIS calls for projects (AAP TIRIS), aligned with one of the three TIRIS thematic pillars and involving FRAIB laboratories associated with two COMUE clusters (BABS for plant biology laboratories; UPEE for ecology laboratories).

CALL FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS PROJECTS 2023

This call for projects aims to support research work led by PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, or fixed-term contract engineers (CDD). The maximum funding available is €5,000 per project.

If the project involves the use of technological platforms, the use of those within the AIB Research Federation’s scope is strongly encouraged: Imaging FR, Proteomics FR, AgromiX, TPMP, METATRON terrestrial and aquatic platforms, the SETE greenhouse and aviary, as well as the CRBE platforms. Prior contact with the relevant platforms is required and must be included in the application file.
